Mine flashes when I have the cruise control on but I'm driving over the set speed. For instance, if I have it set at 75 and I'm going down hill and speed up to 77 it'll start flashing. As soon as it goes back to the set speed it stops flashing. I have the ICC so I don't know if that helps.

I was thinking maybe to clean the ICC sensor in front if you had that, or a clutch interlock switch if you were MT. Sorry, I got nothing.

Same thing happened to me this morning. No ICC. It is a MT. It happened on the way to work so I've not had a chance to see if there is a standby code. I'll do that when I get home.

BB I've googled and searched the Infiniti parts website and nothing for clutch interlock switch comes up. Does Nissan call it something else?

So the update is when I got home there was a standby code of P0605, can't remember word for word but something faulty with the internal ROM in the ECM. Called the dealer prior to clearing the code just to make sure that I shouldn't bring it directly in. Service manager told me to clear it to ensure it wasn't a gremlin and if it comes back to bring it in for a look.

Guess I'm in a wait an see mode.

It's called the cruise control release switch. I just ordered one recently because I broke mine while installing the RJM pedal. If you get down in the foot well with a flashlight you can look up and see if it's broken or not adjusted properly. When the pedal is all the way up there is a white bumper that must fully depress the switch. If it's not depressing it enough, the car senses that the clutch pedal is depressed and won't engage the cruise control. But it doesn't sound like that's your problem.

hmm I got a 6MT and I have installed the softer clutch spring shortly after I got the car, may the spring make the cruise control release switch sense that the pedal isn't fully depressed ? I took the car to the dealer with this issue twice and they couldn't fix the problem I've been having :/ May that be the possible issue I have been having with my CC?

Correct, and thanks for the additional info. My issue seems to be something else now that I've had a chance to go home and pull codes. I've seen this issue all over Nissan forums for almost ever car/truck line they have. Dealership attempts to fix usually involve replacing the CC switch in the steering wheel, replacing the referenced clutch switch (when it's a manual) or replacing the entire ECM. It's likely several things leading to the same end, the CC set light flashing because there is an upset.

I'm going to check codes everyday when I get home to see if the same code comes back. If it does, then I'll let the dealer mess with it. I also found a TSB for P0605 on 2009 G's that they solution was replace the ECM. To be honest I think Nissan has no clue what causes the issue.

On a similar note. I'll probably just drop the $20 on the switch and have it handy when I install my RJM pedal.

Normally you don't need to replace it during the install unless you're an idiot like me who breaks it.

Doesn't sound like an issue with the switch. The spring shouldn't make any difference with that.
