Looks BAD, some folks truly do not deserve to behind a wheel, there's zero excuse for an accident this bad to happen, OP glad to hear everything is OK, hope your cousin gets checked out and treated to ensure no injury occurred, and if negligence is a factor, I wouldn't hesitate to peruse damages if lingering effects persist.
