Lilgers, what color is your G? Some colors look real nice with the outer grill frame painted to match the body color and the middle grill slats painted black, here's a nice example from Rochesters' white G

I am yet to see an aftermarket grille on a G37 coupe that looks good. I think painted stock looks best.

Painted stock black, or black with no Infiniti logo would be my top choices for sure

I've seen some cool CF ones too, but I imagine they are quite expensive

Yikes! That was a shock to see my car in someone else's post.

Not that I mind. This one is nice, too:

exactly what he said... I got quoted 120 bucks just as well for painting mine gloss black and color matching the emblem to the graphite shadow I have and that price seems pretty good comparing to what others have been quoted elsewhere. getting it done possibly this saturday.

Do they do the removal/installation of the grille?

They will if you pay them, but why spend the money? It takes 10 minutes to take off a grille. Check the DIY section.

True. Thanks for the input. And if anyone knows someone who gives a good paint job in the Kansas City area let me know!

The guy said they would take it off and install.. he basically told me he'd only charge me 100 to get it painted and about 20 bucks to remove and install and probably another 20 to professionally remove the plastidip... so this way I can just drop it off worry free for couple hours on saturday and not worry about taking off the grille off my DD and such... if it was actually someone else at that body shop he said they'd have to write up a whole job ticket and it'd probably be twice as much as he quoted me... cool dude a car enthusiast too with a gorgeous blue 2002 E39 6MT M5

Of course, it's your money, but paying someone $20 to remove your grille is like paying someone to wipe your ass. Unless your arm is broken, or you're so freaking huge that your little t-rex arms can't reach...

You can do it, Mike. I promise. Man up, buddy.

Fun fact, that's actually why the Tyrannasaurus rex was the angriest and most irritated of all the dinosaurs.

I agree, take it off on your own. I bet they'll still try to charge you 120 bucks.

The CF grills I've found for the sedan are running around the $400 range. I have my eye on a Black chrome mesh grill for my sedan. I think it would be stunning with the theme of my car. First thing first. Uprev is my next mod!
