Its the end of the road for the G series.... Unless they revive it in 8 years. It's all about the Q's now.

That is a sad thought.

In a couple of years I am hoping to "upgrade" my 2009 G37x to a 2012 or 2013 G37x. I am not sufficiently attracted to the Q50 especially after reading that it just doesn't drive like the G anymore.

If I wanted a "softer" sedan, I'd get an Acura or Lexus.

Tell me about it.... I really enjoy the G. Never know what will come down the pipe at us in a few years. Maybe the Q will flop and they'll revive this handsome car.

2014 model will only be G37 no more sport after this year no more G model cars as well. I got a 2013 G37s sedan there are a few things not present on this car from the previous year model. No music box no multiple cd slots I guess because of bluetooth connectivity you can get all the music you want from pandora or whatever free radio you can find on your smartphone. But the same car is 5k cheaper than 2012 model, sticker on my 2013 car was 30k.

The G37 Coupe continues unchanged for the 2014 model year, but is badged as the new (sic) Q60. The G37 Sedan continues unchanged for 2014, but only in Journey and AWD models... the 6MT model has been dropped. Along with that, they dropped Sport Package option on the Journey and AWD G37.

But you're leasing... so not sure why you're all worked up. Just rent a Q50xS and call it a day.

Don't get a Q50. Try a different brand. Or go and buy a G37xS and quit leasing.

From: Framingham Ma,
I'm going used XS sedan in a few months since they are no longer available. Look at the Q50 if you like it. I LOVE ours.

OP if you're willing to buy, I highly doubt the absence of the xS in the current lineup has much of an impact, if at all, on the value of used xS sedans.

And that works to your advantage, since the Q50 and G37 MSRP drop should allow you to pick up a lightly used xS sedan for a very reasonable price with ease.

You haven't even driven the Q50 so how can you pass judgement?
And Lexus IS350 F Sport is a beast of a car - not soft by any means.
Acura TL SH-AWD 3.7 isn't soft either. Pretty stiff.
