Normal defrosting?

Question Normal defrosting?

My rear window only defrost in the center lines never the top or bottom. Is this normal?

From the picture you posted its working just as it should. The top lines are the antenna for the AM and FM radio.

yes, it will only defrost where the element wires are. eventually the warmth will spread from the wires (as well as interior heat) and defrost the remainder of the rear window.

Would tint slow down the defrosting?

Tint wont slow it because the tint is on the inside and the wire is in the middle of the glass. I have noticed that around 0 degrees it takes a while. You have to get the whole car warm at that point.
