Keyfob battery died ... at 15k miles

Didn't see this 2032 battery in CVS, do I need to go to Radioshack?

Target, walmart, sporting good stores would have it as well.

It's a very commonly used battery for calculators, watches and optic illumination.

You'll often see it by jewelry or hearing aid batteries at dept stores

For anyone in the area or that feels like driving there's a Nismo Meet and Greet on the 17th in Nashville. I think it's at 1900 but I'm not positive.

I want to go but I'm on the fence at this point.

Redline emailed me that they received my OE boot but they didn't see any difference conpared to their template and asked for some pictures. I responded trying to be more specific about the differences and they said they would take another look. I had planned to pull everything apart this weekend, take some pics and do some MS Paint edits highlighting the differences.

Got an email this morning that they have sent me a package. IDK if its my OE boot (I was pretty specific that I didn't need it back) or a replacement based on my OE boot. It's a mystery.

How in the world could they not see any differences? One has holes to accommodate fitment, and the other doesn't.

I suspect they're sending your boot back, but yeah... this is odd.

Thanks for keeping us appraised of your situation. This is something I've elevated in my list, and will likely do in the next few months. Although first things first, I'm wanting to order their sample swatches, and I'm wanting to see what comes of your feedback to Redline.

Good video linked from this other thread:

Unnecessarily long, but still pretty cool.
  1. Stock GT86 with performance tires.
  2. Stock GT86 with coilovers and crappy tires.
  3. Stock GT86 with coilovers and performance tires.

I e-mailed Mike at Redline about the same issue you had with the boot and also the fact that their link to instructions for the arm rest cover just takes you to the directions for the shift boot. He said they would give me another discount on the parts if I wrote up new reviews with pics. (I will see how motivated I am as they are already pretty inexpensive) The eta for the parts is today so maybe I can install everything tomorrow on my day off if I have time.

Yeah, pretty much. But nonetheless, it's still fun to see someone play with the differences.

Reminds me of the (tirerack?) video where RWD snow tires perform better than AWD all-seasons.

Interesting. That pretty much eliminates the possibility my boot wasnt cut right.

Based on the timing of the last order, my mystery shipment should be here some time next week.

Anyone know which parts/materials in particular make the G sedan relatively heavy?

My last car was an Altima which was bigger and weighed like 500lbs less, what gives? IS it just an aggregate of junk? "Luxury" stuff? Just curious, these questions are probably very ignor-able

Tech, safety comfort and performance. Basically a mix of everything.

D@mn! I must have been out of this for too long, because I don't even know what that is a picture of... Maybe an air filter?
