Any tips for them getting them to repaint/replace the bumper? Let me know what you guys think. Any tips appreciated at all, i have never been through an insurance claim on someone else's insurance. Thanks!

Yeah, the Gecko takes care of people. I have it on good knowledge that they'll go out of their way to give good service, even if you're not their insured. It's really nice that they don't treat you like the enemy and jack you around like some companies do. Yeah, I'm looking at you USAA.

As far as how to get a new bumper out of it, that will be completely up to what the adjuster determines. You can ask for one...definitely can't hurt, but ultimately, the adjuster has the final say. Other way is if the repair shop gets in there and finds it more damaged than anticipated, they would replaced it. But those adjusters are pro's and are usually pretty spot on in their assessments.

I just received my Escort Passport Max2 RADAR detector today.

My old one was over 10 years old (probably 15). I bought a Whistler CR90 about a week ago, and it's actually really cool for $160. I wasn't able to talk myself into spending $600 on the Max2 at the time.

After using the CR90 for a week, and reading up on the Max2 some more, I've come to learn that Escort has a patent on a particularly awesome feature. Even though the CR90 has GPS, it can't use the GPS as effectively as the Max2 (or any Escort with GPS).

Escort has a patent on GPS false alert ignoring. It learns as you drive, and starts associating radio frequency false alerts with GPS locations. I expect to be free of false alerts on my standard commute within a week.

The Whistler CR90 however is going to be returned. At best, it can use the GPS to determine speed, and then auto-quiet (not mute) the alert if I am traveling below the determined speed. It's a nice consolation-prize, but it falls far from the mark. I wish Escort hadn't patented this...I could probably live happily with my CR90 otherwise, even though the Max2 has several additional features over the CR90.

It's not like I was getting a ton of false alerts, but I decided to splurge and get the best Escort detector I could. I used a 10% off coupon code and even got a free $30 direct-wire smartcord from RADAR Roy. Taking all this into consideration, it comes out to $510 instead of $600 for the detector...which is close to what people are selling used ones for on eBay.

Not sure if anyone is in the market for the Wald Body kit. But there is a full brand new Wald Kit available in NY from BaySpeed Aerokit. Unfortunately they only have the front and side skirts to part with, they will not sell the rear separately.

G37 G25 WI Style Full Body Kit 6PCS Fit INFINITI G SERIES 2010-2013

Hope someone is able to make use of this.

Having my headlight housings painted black, getting single halos and having 5 leds put in next weekend. Kind of like a combination of these pics. Pics will be up once I get my car back.

Nice Roxx! Be sure to change out your lens to the STiR while they're in there.

In for pics, roxx! I've always liked the look of the halos. Where did you order the halos from or are you having 180 Customs doing them?

Just my personal opinion but I'm not really feeling additions of LED strips. I think that's because every car manufacturer has decided that they have do the "we have that too" for having the pearl strand of LEDs in their headlights in some way or another. I've seen ] [ \_ _/ **** and every variant in between. Thanks Audi!

Not to say that it can't be done well, because it can, but most manufacturers glommed them into mid model refreshes and it shows.

Sorry, I'm not bashing your decision to do the LEDs...just a general feeling about LEDs...lol.

Haha, no offense taken! I'm having a local guy who specializes in headlights do them. Still contemplating only 3 LEDs on each side. Also would it be problem to wire the orange light in my headlight to only be on when the turn signal is on? By problem I mean will I be loosing a large amount of light when driving at night? That bulb doesnt seem to be very bright.

It's not a problem at all,you will not be losing much light, and it'll look cleaner too with the halos ane leds and no amber just like in my own case on my sedan (see my picture below)

It's pretty easy, I have my amber Triton V3 LEDs for front turn signals and they only come on blinking when turn signal is applied, all it took was to bend one of the pins on the base of the bulbs outward, just flip it around to the other side and that's it... Then test if it works as desired if not bend it back and do that with the other one.

Awesome! I was hoping it'd be pretty easy cause I felt like the amber would take away a lot from the halos.

Yeah it definitely would take away a lot. I just noticed that my attached picture doesn't work, so here it is again

Thoughts on a CF duckbill molded trunk on a liq plat Sedan? If I had any other color it would be a no brained. Just don't want it to look out of place or ricey. No black roof and probably will not go CF hood

I don't see how you can avoid looking ricey. So either you embrace it, or tone it down.

What are you talking about you eat rice everyday! You talking about the trunk Mark posted? Personally, I think you would have to do a panda look and do the roof + hood for it to flow well.

Well like what you and Rochester said I guess I just need to embrace the natural ricey tendencies passed down from my ancestors.
Yea that's what I kind of wanted to avoid doing I do like the trunk and the CF version he posted looks real good might just have to opt for the painted version then But then again it would match my diffuser lol.
