Just an update on what I've been up to with my g37 and some pics/video with revving
mods:
-resonator delete
-tanabe medalion mufflers
-fast intentions resonated test pipes
-Injen sr intakes
-some custom carbon fiber work on the interior

Not a fan of the CF with the wood together. The RTPs sure does make the Tanabe a lot louder.

 

ye i was thinking the same thing about the CF im prob gonna get rid of that soon more of just an experiment uk

 

Those Injen's look real good under the hood. Remove the yellow stickers on your radiator cover, spray your dipstick loop black, and that engine bay will look fine.

Um... in other news, there's an IPL emblem on your trunk.

just out of curiosity since you live in new york i was just wondering if you knew of any meets around here?

 

In Rochester, NY? Nope, not so much as I would know. I don't get out much, and I'm just a suburban dad with a hobby interest in his DD.

I'm actually kind of boring, but happy nonetheless.

 

Speaking of FI RTPs .. those with lowered cars, do you guys scratch your pipes ? cuz u kno .. these have huge resonators, they cud of have fabricated them right after the header/manifolds (3 bolts triangle flanges) just like what GTM's did on their RTPs .. that way they'll settle a lil highr than putting them lower before the CB.

 

so their are preety much no meets anywhere in ny?? if you know i could look for any that would be appreciated

You just missed a huge one in nyc, about 50 -60 cars. It was great. There's also a weekly meet in Brooklyn. Check out the g35nyc facebook page.

 

Rochester is 350 miles away from NYC. It's a big state.

There is absolutely not an IPL sedan.

 

Exhaust sounds a bit farty perhaps due to resonator delete.

 

OMG yes. I didn't listen to the vid until now. You're being diplomatic for quantifying that as "a bit". I thought the FI RTP would sound better than that.

This is a little bit disconcerting hearing a FI RTP into a stock cat back and the Medallion axel back. This coming Spring I'm installing the FI RHFC into the full stock cat and axel back, and this doesn't inspire confidence.

OP, are you happy with that sound?

 

I don't think the OP left the cat back stock w/Tanabe. He also specified 'resonator delete'. I believe those resonators are controlling much of the exhaust sound. Just guessing...
