Q50 owners

Hya folks,
I'm in a process of buying a Q50 and wanted some feedback from the owners who has the car.
First off, is the transmission lag fixed?
that is my biggest concern as it is giving me nightmares with my G37 currently.

second, how is the ride quality compared to the G?
I haven't test driven one yet.

third, do you like it more than your G?

last but not lease, how is the touch screens?
does it function good, is it intuitive, what options should I get to get the most out of it.

many thanks to all who contributes

you would probably get better answers on MyQForum - The Infiniti Q and QX Model Resource post there if you haven't already

your best bet would be to go to the dealership and test drive it..

did you get the tranmission update from march that was out?

^agreed. OP I think your best bet is do the legwork and go for a test drive. Even if someone chimes in (Im sure there's a bunch of first-hand comparisons already posted btw), you perception or expectations are likely different than anyone who responds (just a though)

@Rochester I know what you mean but to be honest with you guys, I don't have the time to go and check one out. Maybe I should take a day and at least test drive one.

I test drove a g37s awd sedan. I thanked the salesman for his time and asked them to give me a call when they get a S rwd only model in.

Other than the electronic gadgetry, the ride/handling was rather uneventful. Acceleration (after a thorough warmup) seemed slower than mine. Less in pushed in the seat feel (pedal ~3/4's or more to the floor). Car felt heavier. Steering wheel seemed smaller.

I did score a nice brochure though. Probably the highlight of the whole thing. Will make for some nice office reading material

If by that you mean at least once... yup. By about the third time you test-drive the car, you will know whether or not this is something you want.

jsolo,

I assume it was actually a Q50S AWD you drove. I find my old G37xS and my G37S 6MT very difficult to compare. They are just such different cars.
