Fog lights on without headlights...

Hey Guys, sorry if this has been asked before but on the 2013 G37x, is there any way to only have the fogs on?

There was a common mod on the Maxima where you wire the parking light circuit into the fogs, so that turning on your parking lights allowed you to turn on the fogs. It worked like a charm, and didn't cost anything but a length of wire. For years, I used my fogs as a kind of daytime running light.

Can that be done with the G37? I haven't any idea.

I believe this method will result in your fog always being on. The module will allow you to turn it on and off in independently of your parking or main lights.

Nope. All it does is open the circuit based on having the parking lights engaged, rather than the low-beams. The fog switch will still turn the fogs on/off.

As for which wires to tap...

that's what I have done works like a charm !

but on the other hand it sucks that I find out about this module now... If I knew about it before I would've spent the freaking $50 and just have the ability to turn it on or off without having to turn on the headlights oh well... what do I do now

No the fog switch will not turn the fogs on and off.... I have that done and they go on as soon as I turn on my parking lights or low-beams which of course have the parking lights on at the same time aswell and the switch doesn't work in this case which I kinda dislike... if I only knew about this module :/

Just wire a constant power when on to the fog light relay. Now you can turn the fogs on and off with the fog light switch. I'm gonna give it a look-see to see which constant power-on I wanna jump over to the fog light relay...

Yes! Go for it. I really liked that little mod, and would like to be able to do that with my G.

Figure it out. Write it up. Start a movement.
