I want to use them as DRLs. I'd install LEDs in the headlight cluster but the bumper has to come off to access the headlights which is a PITA. Having the fogs on with the auto headlights would be the easiest thing in my opinion.

This is a really complex wiring DIY for the V36 2007 sedan, should be the same for G37's I think. If you can understand this, then I'm positive it will work.

For those of you that want to have the turn signals work as they should but not have the amber light on otherwise it's actually a very simple process. Take the wheel well plastic trim off to get access to the headlights. Locate the turn signal, there are three wires going to it; one is ground the other two are under power. With the headlights and turn signals on, measure with your volt meter and locate one of the two wires that has constant power and cut it. The other wire's power will modulate, that's the turn signal wire, leave that alone. Wrap the wire you cut in some electrical tape and you're done. No more amber in the headlight housing all for free and anytime you want to go back just connect the wire back up. Done.

this is a better DIY and it is not complex at all. i did it on my g37x coupe. whichever model you have, take a look at the FSM for your year/model to confirm which wires you need to tap into.
