What is this?

I've seen some cars with a rear "lip" but it looks like mud flaps extended. Ill upload a picture later, if anyone can make sense out of what I wrote, do you know what this is and who makes it?

I think these are called rear canards.

Several names for them, canards, aprons, spats, edge guards, etc.
