OP: mesh and billet grilles are separate categories IMO

I've been researching a grille replacement for a bit, came up with something that I think will look very nice but a little more aggressive than oem

To keep the look more "oem plus" vs aftermarket, I'd suggest paint match, replace cheap mesh, and install infiniti emblem.

I will do this myself but haven't had the time yet, will post pics when i do, hope my post helps!

^change to a quality mesh and replace nismo badge with Nissan one in the center and it would look good, better than the buck tooth grille that max came with.

Leaving it empty would be a mistake, as well as adding a non-oem emblem.

My biggest qualm with the oem g37 front grilles is that they don't match well. Generally, matching grilles make for a sportier look. My car happen to come with a midnight grille so I'm not in a huge rush to upgrade, but when I get around to it I think the mesh grille will be a nice improvement when done right

To each his own...

I agree. Paint the grille to match and get rid of the chrome.

The only way I could be happier would be if the color match were perfect... GD moonlight white.

Infiniti G37 2010-2013 Sedan Mesh Grille - C-mod Grilles
Did you buy this yet? If so, how is the fitment? Also do you by any chance have a picture of this exact grille installed on a sedan? I feel like I have seen the ones you posted before and IIRC they were custom made.

^did you see post right above yours???

Also search for "CMOD Grille" in the forum section for exterior mods, plenty more photos in there

The grille frame itself was bought from CMOD, but then had it painted OB, swapped to awful mesh for some better grade stuff (BIG difference), then slapped on the Fuji logo.

Fitment is NOT that great, far from OEM but you an make it work alright

And if it were open enough to show off your intakes, then you should probably be using a rain-shield, all things considered. In that context, it's not so much your intakes that you're showing off, but the intake rain-shield, and maybe the front pipes. Is the rain-shield plastic or aluminum? Can you paint/powdercoat the shield? If it were powdercoated a deep gunmetal with a heavy gloss top-coat, that might look interesting.
Many people run without the rain shield and the consensus seems to be "use common sense" -- don't submerge car in water or do anything that puts a bunch of water in there. I drive my car around with no rain guard in front of the filters and a pretty open mesh and even floor it in the rain with no issues. I of course don't submerge the car in water or speed through huge puddles of water on the side of the road.

This grille is from eBay but it's pretty good actually. I really like it and it did require a zip tie inside to make it flush at the top but other than that it worked out well.

By the way.. when I purchased I offered $184 and the seller accepted. There was also no shipping charge back then. So I paid $184 + tax (somehow, even though it's from China LOL).
