Had a full day with my new '10 G37xS
I picked up a pampered 2010 G37xS Lakeshore Blue on Wheat about 2wks ago. Fully loaded except for the illuminated door sills (but the dealer used some sort of cleaner that made a couple of stains on them. So the illuminated sills might be in the near future) Haven't driven her much since I wanted to go over it with a fine-toothed comb, change the oil/filter and cabin filter, and switch the shifting (pull up-shift, push down-shift). I already had the tranny TSB 027d done and it made a noticeable difference in the shifting. And today I changed the oil and filter....Cabin filter...and just got done with the shifter....Can't wait to get my hands on the other parts of the car... It kinda feels like owning my e36 M3 again. But this time I'm not gonna go all out modding her...OK [I]maybe [I] a Stillen Gen3 intake
My '02 WRX has ~200K miles on her and I'm hoping the same outta my G..When the Subbie goes, the AWD G will become the daily driver and then maybe a.....I'll have to think about that when I get to that bridge

No reason your WRX cant go another 100k -- I sold my stage 2 (turboback exhaust, accessport software) with 172k miles going strong. This was an 02 (first year with the "glass" trans) so I know its all how you take care of the car.
Helps I bought it off the middle aged original owner :-p

Congrats ... I think you will really enjoy the xS. I see more people starting to modify their x's which is a good trend - it's a capable platform and fun to drive. I never had my 7AT reprogrammed ... did not have a problem with the way it shifted, except for the lack of a 1st gear kickdown, which was easily solved with a squeeze of the left paddle ...
Just sold mine today ... drove it down to Denver to deliver it ... gave me an excuse to drive it again. Totally different character vs. the 6MT I have now ... but they are both fun cars to drive and I will miss the xS. My wife has a stronger opinion, she thinks I downgraded

...and if I still wanna get into a RWD sedan again Lexus IS-F. But too rich for my blood right now....
You mean Lakeshore Slate. Very attractive color. On the 6MT, Wheat Leather wasn't an option, only Black and Stone. Didn't realize you could get Wheat Leather with the xS.
Let's see pictures of this car.

Will get pics up as soon as I get a nice day and some time....I'm super paranoid about getting the Wheat dirty...But bc of how nice the combo looks, I can live with the paranoia.

That was funny. Clearly you're still pretty jazzed up about the car.
Lakeshore Slate + Stone Leather was my personal preference. However, when you're looking for a low-mileage 6MT Sedan, you take what you can get.
Yes, Wheat Leather looks amazing against LS. Very jelly.

Welcome! I traded in my 2005 Forester XT on my low mileage (20,210) 2010 xS sedan back in December. My FXT only had about 105,000 miles though.
I do miss the boxer rumble (Borla headers and Cobb turboback
) and the 340 ft-lbs of torque at the wheels sometimes, but am really loving the more refined yet still sporty feel of the G.

Funny you say that. My FXT has 105K on it and I just spent a ton of money on routine maintenance and fixing a window motor. With the little ones out of the house this my goto car, when this great state salts the road in snowy/icy condition. For not being a massive F350, the Subie is a tank on the road even in the very worst of conditions. Not that I pamper the G, but the plows don't drop chemicals, they throw pellets, which can damage the paint and fenders if hit just right.

I agree, short of being an F350, which my bro has and I always flew past him in the snow!..People always ask me what I think about my Subbie and I always say "it's a TANK!"
MPG sux...In "Status" mode I just sit there and watch the fuel bar disappear even if I give it the slightest bit of gas!
Modded FXTs are pretty mean! My "bubbly" WRX wagon is pretty tame looking. But I think she's on it's last legs..I've been driving the G a lot more and the Subbie doesn't like to sit for longer than 2-3 days......and I'm worried as the temps drop the squeaking and clunking and tapping will just get worse. I'm definitely looking for a newer Subbie (any) or Saabaru with the 2.5T...and seeing how long this one lasted, I'm willing to get one with higher miles as long as the maintenance records have been kept up. I do have to say tho...my Subbies gets much better MPG than my GxS!!!
I got terrible mileage with the FXT, but at least it was consistent. I averaged about the same stock as I did with about stock + 100 whp. I get pretty bad mileage with the G as well, but I think that's mainly because my weekday commute is only about 7 miles each way to the train station.
