Software upgrade Engine Management

Guys:

During oil change for my one year old 2012 G37 I complained about non-linear throttle response. The service guy said he would check for sofeware upgrades. Turns out there was a software upgrade for the Engine Management system.

They installed the upgrade and I did notice some improvement in performance. One caution: the software upgrade probably eliminated any learning the software had applied to my wife's gentle driving habits so that may have contribited to the improved performance.

In any case there is an upgrade available. Don't know the date or specific name of upgrade.

I don't think this applies to 2012 models.

If you have your service writeup there should be some procedure # to ID what they did. If so that would be great if you could pass it on. If this is something different than the transmission reflash it would be good to know.
Thanks!

I had this done on my '12 as well, I complained about the acceleration lag after turning and accelerating from about 25mph. The update was awesome the first 2 weeks, after that it's still better, but not as responsive as when they first did it. I've got the paperwork in my glove box and will take a picture after work.
