Has anyone had any experience with this product? I searched but can not find anything. Was considering trying it on the grill.

Yeah I used it on the grill for mine, and it turned out real well (at least to me). My car is black, and the paint doesn't make the grill match up exactly to the car color - its more of a flat black than a gloss. That being said though, I actually like the subtle difference in color. The more of the gloss that you use, the darker it gets - I had to use just about the entire can. I've attached a picture of the front of my car to show you what I mean.

 

Don't know about it being more matte than gloss.... But....
