And the price drops, and thus resale values drop. Glad I got a lease.

Went to inquire leasing my 2nd g37 sedan and since lease was up in 2 months, late Nov, I was in no rush..I reiterated all the auto sites comments that the G37 will continue into 2015 with just standard and awd with limited options, and I was told repeatedly that this is NOT correct! Gen sales mgr said that 2013 is the last year model of the G37 but they are still getting limited inventory through the end of the year, and once that's gone, everything goes to Q series. So figuring I'd better grab what's left, I renewed my lease a couple of months early. I did get the reduced MSRP (about $3,800) but I'm curious to see if a 2014 actually does get released..Infiniti consumer affairs standing behind that 2013 is the last year, too..we'll have to see as I'm going to be a bit pissed if I could have gotten a newer model and was misinformed! Anyone have inside information??

Sounds like a dealership is telling you what THEY want you to hear to make a deal ASAP.

Just spoke to Infiniti consumer affairs a second time and now they finally confirmed what we are all reading- there willl be a 2014 and 2015 G37 but only RWD and AWD with limited options- nav and premium..looks like my dealer flat out lied to me so I'm going to raise hell!

On a more positive note, even lacking the RWD Sport Package, having the G37 continue for two more model years just made this forum relevant for two more years, with two more years worth of new members with new cars.

So we've got that going for us.

Things like non-sport suspension and brakes can always be modified. LSD and steering... not so easily, but still a great car.

bottom line is everyone who purchased a G37 prior to the MSRP being lowered just got ****ed by Infiniti. I went to trade my 10' G for a 13' 6MT and was floored when they showed me the trade in value on my car. Everyone took that 5k hit on the resale value of your car.

Not sure what I will do when my lease ends in December. I'd really like to get into the Q50, but no manual option and high lease payments are deterring me right now. Maybe another short term G37S lease if the price is right.
Why not buy a car and modify it? Your so insecure you have to have a new car every two years? Or you stunting?
Just get a 2014 and do what I'm doing upgrade it with aftermarket parts.
I got a steal on a journey and. I know damn well the sport will need upgrades after I'm done so y not just start with a base and use tge extra to modify?

Look at the g35 forum. I'm sure this site will still be around for years to come. At least 5 or more. Probably have a more youthful audience then, but the same questions will continue to come up

Key words are "trade in value"

Although I have no doubt the resale value of used G37s will go down due to the new MSRPs, I wouldn't use a dealer trade offer as an accurate barometer

The discontinuation of the 6MT should also come in to play, albeit degree may or may not be much, but it does appeal to a very particular market. Put another way, 6MT models were never directly impacted by the MSRP drop, though it may have been dragged down as a result. Either way, the '13 6MT was previously highly incentivized, and as the supply dwindles quickly, S/D curve may keep prices up

(obviously all pure speculation, and personally, I won't be concerned about the resale value for a long while)

Nobody wants to start off with a bare naked model
He was looking for a 6MT anyway so why get a '14
