First, congratulations! I've had my '10 for a few months now and totally love it. It's a far cry from my '02 Civic.

Second, I'd say most people tint the windows first. It's fast, cheap and makes a hell of a difference. It's the first thing I did and it will probably be the only thing I do to it. Find a reputable shop and have them put on quality film. I did 20 all the way around and it looks fantastic.

Welcome to the site, very nice G you picked out, my favorite Infiniti color.

Agree about the tint, really improves the look and is a functional improvement too.

As far as wheels, it really depends what look you're going for down the road. If you plan on lowering your X then the larger 20" wheels look great IMO. If you plan to keep the suspension stock then a nice looking 18"-19" rim would be a good plan. Sometimes you can get lucky and find some quality rims in our marketplace for much less than a new set, and they might even be within a local drive

If your G has Goodyear RS-A tires you'll be much happier w/ almost any other tire, so going w/ new rims/tires ASAP would be a good move.

There's so many ways to make your G unique and improve on an already great design, I'd spend some time in the media share section, the wheel/tire section, and the DIY section (a lot of the accents you can do yourself and save serious coin).

Enjoy your new G!

Helping you out

Just read the forum, Jay. Take notes, categorize, archive links for reference, bump & subscribe to relevant threads, ask on-topic questions in appropriate areas. Take your time, and don't jump into ideas without thoroughly researching things. Do not create "what is the best intake?" threads. Do not create "what wheels look good?" threads. For the most part, people in the Sedan forum are very accommodating and friendly. However, noobish questions can set you up for ridicule and subsequent butthurt, and that's a situation best avoided.

Congrats on stepping up to your new G. While I don't personally care for Infiniti's Malbec Black, not even a little bit, I do appreciate that it's a unique color that lots of people are drawn to. Your first visual mod will likely be a simple window tint, which will look great on MB. And the most reasonable, best handling mod you could make would be performance 3-Season tires... although that's a tough call, because you've got those fugly 17" wheels, so buying new tires can be an expensive and slippery slope.

Welcome to the forum. Now read & research, boss.

Congrats on your new G37x!

I myself have got the 2013 G37xS and have slightly modded mine.

I would recommend window tint as the first mod too.
I would like to make aware of the tint laws, just in case your are not familiar with them.
Please look here before you decide on going with tint that is illegal in the state of WI:
Welcome to TintLaws.com

The best advice will be to research...the more the better.
