New to the Infiniti World -- Extended Warranty or not

I just purchased a 2011 G37 Journey with only 20,500 miles on it. I think I messed up not purchasing the Extended Warranty.

Do most of you have the Extended Warranty? Thinking about going ahead and purchasing.

Also, would changing the oil every 5,000 be sufficient.

Thanks.

Extended warranty is absolutely not necessary. If you use a quality synthetic 5000 mi OCI is fine, you can go much longer if you like.

I had an 04 G35 and never had an issue

The G37 looks to be built even better. No major recalls or issues.

No need for a warranty

Unless a dealer throws it in for free I wouldn't spend the money on it. I was lucky to have my G CPO which was thrown in for free with my purchase but haven't had a need for it (knock on wood)

You have two more years of full warranty anyway. There is no hurry. Personally, I would not purchase the warranty given the proven reliability of the G.

This car has no real issues to worry about. I've put around 25kmi on mine up into the 70's with no issues to speak of.

First welcome. Second, it's infiniti not infinity. Third, extended warranty not necessary. Don't lose sleep over it.

It's Infiniti not infiniti

Welcome OP and like other said, you shouldn't need the extended warranty.

Thanks all for the responses...will definately hold off on purchashing the EW for now. I also knew to use quality synthetic oil as have always done that with all my vehicles.

Obviously had a major fake blond moment in my miss spelling of 'Infiniti'!!! (Yes, I am female).

So glad I found this Forum...

My '09 is running great. Just the the quirks / recalls done within warranty and you'll be good to go.
