Aftermarket Wiper Blade Refills for OEM Blade

Hey guys, was just curious if you ever changed the wiper blade refill with an aftermarket one. I like the look of the OEM assembly so I wanted to know if there's any compatible aftermarket refills that fit or if OEM refills are the only one. Aftermarket assembly's are so ugly!

I usually go with the Bosch Icons...this was on my FX and not my current G.
Not sure how well they fit on the G since I just got mine and don't need to replace mine yet.

I have not seen any aftermarket blades that have that smooth, seemless hook like OEM ones. They all have that big clip for the hook.

I'm not sure if we are on the same page. Just to confirm, I am taking about the wiper insert only. (The refill.) Not the whole wiper blade assembly.

I was curious to know if aftermarket wiper blade inserts would work in the OEM assembly. For example,
Amazon.com: PIAA 94060 Silicone Wiper Blade Refill, 24" (Pack of 1): Automotive Amazon.com: PIAA 94060 Silicone Wiper Blade Refill, 24" (Pack of 1): Automotive

Have any of you ever tried?

Oh, sorry, thought you were talking about the whole blade assembly. I just put in my 2010 sedan and it says the PIAA doesnt' fit.

I apologize for my misunderstanding also...as far as refills go I don't have an answer for you.
I would think that the dealer would be the best bet, unless they can be found online for cheaper.

Evidently the 2012's are different (wider). I stopped by the dealer and picked up a set - when I tried to install them, they basically fell out - so I reinstalled the original. The dealer exchanged them for the '2012 fat ones'. They fit like a glove.

I agree that the OEM blade looks the best - the dealer prices for the refill were reasonable.

you can pop the factory wiper clip off and and apply it to the new wiper

source: I worked in an auto parts store for 3 years and have replaced the blade on my 2011 Sedan

I wasn't aware they were different from 2012 to 2013... Interesting. I might have to do some testing to see if I can get an aftermarket refill to go in there by comparing them if I feel like spending the time one day. In the meantime, the dealer asked $12 per refill.
