when the G37 coupe came out in August 2007 people had no problem paying close to $600 a month with a cap cost reduction up front.

I remember G37 vert's paying $800 a month for a lease and don't blink.

That's like an extra $100/month for every extra 100 pounds.

residuals are pretty much the same on the Q50 as they are on the G37 Sedan about 1-2% difference. The MF is around the same as a JX. Don;t understand why people think they will still be getting 300-400 lease deals on these cars when you equipped them higher up with equipment and then compare to a 6 year old car. This is the entire reason that Infiniti will be buiolding G37's for the rest of the year, for those who don;t want to pay for new. 24 month lease is not going to be good on the Q50, only reason it is on the G is to get people out sooner into the new one, for about 4 years the 3 year lease was optimal for the G sedan, you got spoiled with the insane 24 and 18 month leases lol.

in any case, as people said, you can wait and you will see a drop I would say about 5-6 months in like the JX's did.

I do, though, like the comment about getting into M money, for a car that is faster, has more features, looks better, has a better ride, see a trend there? Wait until you see numbrs on the Q70 when they redo it.

I'm very happy with my 13, and the payment.. by the time my lease is up in 2015 Infiniti will have fixed the problems, done a refresh and the lease payments will be reasonable, and if the paymnets still suck I'll get somthing that doesn't.. it's just a car..

not a big fan of the new president either, Johan isn't that great at all when it comes leadership

is it just me or.. new Q50 isn't that much "innovative" comparing when G37 released. there isn't that "wow" factor so to speak..

the design has a little bit german but lacks inifini's tradition look - "curve"

Keep in mind this car was at 95% completion when Johan came on board. Still like how people are coming to conclusions before the car is even released, haven't driven it or played with the tech. @Da65vid, it still is savings over a BMw, if you read one of the other threads in here the Infiniti is still less expensive than comparable 3 series. Problem with BMW shoppers is they don't give a **** what kind of BMW they get, as long as it has a propeller Btw you can equip a 328I that ends up being more expensive than a Q50 add sport hybrid.

Payments don't suck btw, they are reflective of the value of the vehicle. Again your not going to get a new Q50 for accord payments which are where the G37 is at now. People got spoiled.

tbh. that payment does suck. if I know anyone paid $600+ for a 07 g37 coupe or $800+ for the vert. I will laugh at their stupidity. same for $680 q50. look out to other brands what $680 a month can get you. a loaded 335i or s4/5 cost less than that.

if the lease payments don't come down to sub $500s. I don't believe this car will sell well.

the main reason why the current g37 sedan is so common on the road is the payment. $40k car in $300ish a month.

Exactly my thoughts.. I already settled on getting a 435i due to the lack of upgrades besides the tech in the Q50. It's essentially the same car under the hood and I'm not interested in the hybrid.

Also Infiniti has 0 brand recognition after the rebadging, not that I care about the badge but I feel they don't justify the lease payment.

At 680+ a month the door is open to a much wider range of vehicles.

It's funny how people want Infiniti to give away their new car basically. If you can get all of these other cars then go do it, a 335i is a competitor of the G or new Q, but don't come crying back here when your spending most of your time in the shop. Ridiculous! How can someone expect to pay $300 a month for a $40k + vehicle like Infiniti is not trying to make any money.

Yes - Infiniti needs to make money, but they also must be competitive in the marketplace. The facts are harsh....the brand has limited recognition and the dealer network (IMO) is riddled with poor performers. On top of that, brands like BMW offer free maintenance, something that should be factored into any lease decision. Ultimately market forces will determine the pricing for the Q. Regarding long term reliability, I suspect the Q will be much better than BMW, but for someone leasing, that will seldom become much of an issue.

There's a simple psychology to marketing an auto lease. While there's a portion of that consumer market who look rightly at the auto lease as a service, there's a much larger, far less rational segment who think they're getting something for less.

That's how.

They are. In NJ for example you only lease part of a vehicle. You pay sales tax on the leased portion only.
