Hey everyone,
I was not keen on spending a bunch of dough to replace the yellow looking fogs on the car, so I ended up going with a LED replacement off of Amazon:
I am really digging the finished look. Matches up well with my Osram CBIs.

I mean for that price would it even matter if they only lasted a year? If your wanting something that lasts and is an upgrade then look into the Mirimoto XB and never worry again

This was a great thread on my old car forum. It was basically an epic thread that just continued to get bigger and more creative. The basic premise is for this to be a one stop thread for cheap mods. $40 and under mods only. Basically im a cheap bastard and I know others are too.
I can hear it now. "You paid too much for your car to do cheap mods". The goal here is for inexpensive, cost wise, not cheap looking. I haven't done these mods, but here's what I'm getting at
COST - essentially free
Debadge your trunk. More than likely you'll have all the stuff you need lying around your house. First heat up the emblems by parking your car in the sun or using a hair dryer. Use dental floss to get behind and "cut" off the emblems. Now a little goo gone (even iso alcohol will work), now a quick compounding and wax and you're done.
Cost - $20
Plastidip wheels black. Real easy way to see what your car looks like with black wheels. I would not recommend for the long haul, but definitely good for a few months. I haven't done this to the G, but I did dip my VW wheels at one point.

- It definitely makes the curb rash on my wheels less noticeable

This is something I've been hesitating to do to my stock wheels. Yours lookslike it turned out pretty well. Do you have any additional photos from a side view without the masking paper?

I dipped mine too just to see if I like the colour (going to try gloss black next season) Still in perfect condition after 10k km. This colour is Hyper Silver Pearl over a black base.
