Question about classified ad

So I posted a really nice set of Lexani wheels and Michelin tires up for sale..https://www.myg37.com/forums/private...500-miles.html I though I priced them super cheap.. but no takers.. I'm wondering why? is it because they are 18", is it the style? I'm really at a loss as to why no one's interested.. or should I just go and drop price to a stupid level, I though 50% off or better than new was a pretty strong price?

I'm sure there are different reasons, but for me personally, it's the style and size. For that price, I would just get OEM 19s.

That seems like a nice deal, especially w/ the TPMS included. Usually when people get new wheels it's 19s or 20s, and seems most that don't lower their vehicles tend to keep their vehicles stock or close to it. At any rate GLWS, maybe one of those that showed interest will step up.

I would guess size of rim and width of tire. Most like 19 to 20 inch rim with 265 to 305 mm of width on a tire. Keep them posted.. someone will like them and take them off your hands.

Most of the guys already answered your question pretty much. Almost everyone who upgrade wheels upgrade 19-20 wheels. 18s just look too small for our cars especially a sedan. The guys who usually buy 18s are normally buying them for track ultra light wheels. Also almost everyone likes staggered fitment excluding the AWD guys. Offset and width of the wheels come in play as well.

While it may be a good deal, most would rather have the factory 19" wheels over those for that price point. Anything more they'll purchase aftermarket 19-20" wheels.

You might want to try craigslist, or other car forums that run those size/offset tires. I've always had good luck with craigslist.

If they were 19s, they'd be gone by now. GLWS.

This is likely the case, esp since this particular design and tire profile make them look small for an 18" wheel
(no offense intended just honest)
I'm sure you'll get plenty of bites from CL, good luck

No offense, but I see 2 issues here.

1. The wheel design is not that attractive (to me at least)
2. The tires are not the best choice. Even though it's Michelin, it's the model. Most people are looking for Summer, high performance tires. Although the ratings on these are pretty good, so maybe someone might want them.

I suggest try selling the tires separately. You might have better luck with the tires, and could probably get more that way. The wheels, you might have to bite the bullet and take a loss on them and sell for cheap.

I'm starting to come to that conclusion.. I just hate to spend the money and time to take them apart to sell it all seperately.. and then it takes up even more room in the garage that I don't have.. Frankley I'd take pretty much any reasonable (or unreasonable offer at this point just to get them out of my garage..just a big PITA at this point and I just don't have the time to deal with it.. I mean I'm at $795.00 for the whole lot..new retail is about $2400.00 how cheap would I have to go, to just have someone say damn!

FWIW I had the same tires on my 09 and they were amazing, quiet, stick like glue, and great in the snow

Those offsets and patterns should fit Altimas & Maximas too (maybe even Sentras, Jukes, etc.), might want to Ebay them w/ as many applications as you can think of. With the Nissan TPMS included it should draw some interest.
GLWS & sorry to hear you're having to take a big hit
