Try this:

Before filling up with gas, call your bank and make sure that the account you are trying to fill up with has enough available credit. Most gas stations will authorize your card for only the amount available, ie. if your car requires $65 to fill up and you only have $42 in your account it wont allow you to go over that mark.

When this happened to me the attendant asked me if I have an Infiniti. He said this happens all day with certain nozzels. I switched to a different pump & had no problem. Just memorize the bad hoses & avoid those.

I had this problem similar to your problem on my 2012 g37s on first day of the purchase. My filling gas problem only happen when the tank is at half of tank of gas or higher and it will not let me put gas in. no matter what speed, what pump and what gas station. I bought it to dealer, dealer able to duplicated the problem. The master tech called the infiniti tech line, dealer's first attempt was replace the gas tank and charcoal canister. Didn't fix the problem, so dealer decided to change the filler neck also. Still no fix. dealer setup time for me to speak with the infiniti engineer, what they are going to do and etc.
Long story short, second attempt, they changed the gas tank and charcoal canister again. The master tech told me the factory changed the different calibration rollover valve spring and problem fixed. This is all under 6000 miles, within 6 months period since purchased. So far no problem for me. Hope this will help some of the infiniti owner. I was hoping I can go for the lemon law. :P

It happened to me. Dealer was able to replicate and replaced BOTH fuel sending units and performed the TSB. I was then able to fill it up all the way ONCE. So I brought it back and they said some hose inside the tank was slightly bent and didn't allow proper venting. I was able to fill a few full tanks after that. Now it's back again... I'm out of warranty but since my complain was in the system already, the dealer said factory -should- still be able to help me out of courtesy. I think I need to pressure them to change my entire tank.

HoldmyMouse : actually fuel tank should be under the emission warranty, which is longer than 4yrs/50k miles warranty.

I have had the same problem with my 2010 G37 since new. I have found that if I lift the nozzle up as the gas is pumpimg, the problem is solved. It's a pain to be lifting the nozzle while pumping, but it works every time. Give it a try.

Not true at all. This is a common problem across all makes and models.

What's more annoying is the stupid gas door design. In winter when it freezes the thing is always hard to open or scrape because of ice build up.

Update: same gas station my tank was under 1/4 and one try it filled it all the way.

This is the same gas station and same pump when I had a problem previously

I guess it happens when I try to fill it when it's above 3/8 of a tank or so

I have a 2010 and I also have had this problem since day 1. Not every time I fill up, but I'd say about 80% of the time. What I've found to semi-solve it is to ease in to pumping it. If you pull the handle slowly as the first 5-8 bucks go in it will usually fill up smoothly. It seems like the faster the gas rushes in the quicker it trips the sensor. Oh well, if this is the only problem I have with the car then I'm a happy camper! haha

I've noticed this when I've gone to older Chevron stations that have the same type of pump. I'd pump for 30 seconds and it'd stop.
