Thanks for the replies. I've been watching the videos and views of the trunk space are lacking.

Where are the hybrid batteries? Could this be reason for the smaller trunk

In the rear area.

I was expecting a smaller trunk but not as small as described here. Cars.com said, "Interior dimensions weren't provided, but Infiniti says the trunk is 18.0 cubic feet, which is incredibly large for the class, and 14.1 cubic feet for the Q50 Hybrid. The BMW 3 Series sedan is rated at 13.0 cubic feet; the Audi A4 has 12.4 cubic feet of trunk space, and the outgoing G37 has 13.5 cubic feet."

The front reminds me of the current generation evo, especially the shape of the headlights. The rear taillights remind me of audi's desisgn

So according to this it's actually still bigger than the outgoing trunk by .6 feet and still larger than the BMW 3 or A4 trunk. It's just significantly smaller than the Q50 non hybrid trunk. Perhaps just shaped differnetly, but still more volume.

I wonder if that single canister exhaust is the same as the coupes exhaust.

since the car has run flats, its safe to say they got rid of the spare. getting rid of the spare creates more room under the trunk to fit the coupe exhaust.

wishful thinking!

That is what I am hoping but the video and references made here make the hybrid trunk seem smaller than the numbers posted.

Volume is volume. Unless those numbers are incorrect, it is actually bigger than the current trunk. It may be shaped differently or have less practical utility, but it's not smaller.

I'll admit that I was unhappy when I first saw the images of the front (I thought it was too swoopy and not very sophisticated) but these personal photos that are being posted (thank you all) have changed my opinion. Can't wait to see it in person. I've had 3 Gs (2 sedans awd and 1 coupe rwd 6mt) with a 335 6mt thrown in there and I was looking forward to this new model with hopes that it would bring real improvements especially to the quality of the interior. Looks promising. The 335 is still a great car and will once again be on my list but it's just very expensive once you load it with all the stuff I order with my Gs.

It sucked! I couldn't really get close to it at all to really check it out.

Take a look at this GIF that I made from a press video:

I know that it doesn't exactly look like a Jaguar, however in this GIF, I'm getting strong hints of Jaguar/Audi vibe even more than a Lexus vibe...

Seeing that GIF is reminding me of seeing that car in person again... It is so stunning to look at (IMO) I am just enamored. This car is gonna in be in my driveway in 2014. Doesn't even matter anymore. I want that.
