From all the research I've gone through you shouldn't go the extended stud route for spacers thicker than 15mm. The longer studs are weaker after a certain point, the bolt ons are "supposedly" safer for spacers over 15mm thick.

 

Hard to tell by that pic, but it does look a bit lower...not sure how much lower it will sit after a weeks settling.

Can you share some before and after pics if you have them?
I'm wondering if I can influence my wife into changing her mind about lowering with the Swifts!

If possible, can you take some measurements on how much lower it is than stock?

Not sure how much safer they are, but I've had H&R spacers on my 2 previous FX's since 2003...no problems what so ever with the extended bolts.
Everything always balanced and within spec from Infiniti Service.
I was lowered on Eibach Pro Kits on my 2003 FX and H&R's on my 2007 FX.
'03 had 15mm H&R front spacer and 20mm rear.
'07 had H&R 20mm spacer on all fours.

I was one of the very first to install spacers on the FX.
I was the first to install 15mm in front & 20mm in the rear.

Times might have changed, but from my experience I feel that the extended bolts replacing the stock bolts are safer than bolt ons.

Can you find the link(s) explaining the difference in safety...would be good reading.

Here's a thread that I dug up, VQsmile knows his stuff. Glad you didn't have any problems w/ your spacers, I'm sure most of them would work fine as I doubt they'd keep selling them (and stay in business) if wheels were flying off cars I had the bolt on Ichibas for about a year, no issues, but now I'd rather just order wheels w/ the offsets so no spacers are req'd

To me it is the right night just want to get a good measurement for spacers.

 

I'm thinking you should get the alignment done then measure for spacers.
They will undoubtedly have some positive camber adjustment. It may only be a matter of millimeters though.

Not sure if it actually proves that one is better than the other.
I guess as long as either version is installed correctly, then it's all good.

From my past experiences with my spacers, I have no hesitation on the H&R trac+ extended bolt spacers...just my $.02.

I have to agree...finding correct offset wheels are the best bet, but if you plan to stay with OEM, then spacers are good alternative.

Ok so the drive to work was the funniest thing cause i have already start

driving like i had the car lowered a few weeks now. so when i finally hit one

of the road imperfections it didn't do anything so ihave to say this is great

you rides like oem suspensions. the car wash was something i was not thinking

about till this afternoon. now i have to go to a few places that is not bad for

lowered cars. i didn't do the spacers i kinda like the look now. just have to get

an alignment next week. then i am going to be on the slow hunt for a great

deal on some vossen cv3's or come cool bbs's wheels. (not to low not to high

just right)

They are linear.

Because they're linear, they say you only need to wait a few days for the rubber washer to settle before getting the alignment. I waited a couple weeks because I just wasn't in a hurry. The measurements were within factory spec so I didn't need a camber kit. I have the RWD so i'm not sure if its the same scenario as yours. Sounds like you love the ride quality as much as I do. Congrats.
