I really didn't know I had this affliction....not sure if it is serious or not.
My 350 did not have one and I had no such issue. But after having one for the past year, I've become addicted. My loaner car is lacking one...and I just feel...not sure...lost?
Anyone else have this situation?

its pretty bad to be reliant on your GPS, but I agree with you, having an indash GPS feels great. I dont think i'll ever get a car in the future without a navi anymore (even though I use it about twice a month to find some obscure restaurant.)
I hope everyone knows this was intended to be a somewhat humorous post
There is a small bit of truth to it...we moved offices last week....I am still finding new places for lunch
Oh - and no GPS helps on 183 or 114. I was on both today - the construction is horrible. Exit ramps? Gone. OR moved. The service road on 183 could be described as serpentine - LOL.

Yeah, that area is quite a mess right now...I drive through there every now and then going 121 to the North Dallas area.
I'd hate to drive it every day like I did between 1991-1999, but it's gonna be nice when it's completed.
I have to agree. I drove my Jetta the other day out of state and didn't realize how much I look at it. I don't necessarily use it for guidance but more to judge how fast I can take a turn or at least to know what is coming ahead in terms of turns.
I get lost in my own back yard. A GPS is a must for me. Anymore, I find myself plugging in my destinations in my GPS, not because I don't know how to get there, but because I want a time estimate of how long my trip's going to take. I'd be lost (literally) without this thing.

I always have a good sense of direction until I got an GPS...I feel like a trained monkey following Eve's (my cars name) command...she can be a B***h sometime having me drive in circles.
These days, I use the oem nav system more as a visual aid and use google map on my smartphone (unlike dump5phone hehe..I kid) as a nav system.
