Not ugly. To my taste the amount of drop and wheel size are both excessive. I hope you never meet a decent pothole - I would not expect the rim to survive.
It isn't ugly just not my taste. With regard to performance, its all about perspective. If you bought it to give it a little more pimp and less sport then you are on the right track.
Not bad, I've had 22's on a previous car, but that car was much bigger, on the G the top for me would probably be 20"s, or 19's with a small drop. The actual wheels are nice though, just look kind of oversized. Like the color though- coming from another blue slate owner
Would ditch the blue in the headlights, but that's just me
There are a few things on your car that I wouldn't myself do to my own car, but then again there are probably a few things on my car that you wouldn't do to yours. That's the beauty of this hobby. So, just worry about what you feel about your car and enjoy the ride!
Just to clarify this IS NOT my car. Boy do I wish it was, but its not. I'm in the process of getting rims for my G and I saw this on facebook and it took my breath away. I know myG37.com is sorely against the idea of 22s on G's, but in my heart I know if done right they can look very nice. I'm still doubt I will put 22s on my G because I'm afraid of having a jarring ride, getting flats, and bending wheels on my DD, but its not completely out of the question.
I commend those who posted for not fearing the ridicule from their peers and being willing to admit this one was done right.
Are those 22s? Not an ugly ride. the wheels just seem a bit bigger than I would like that's about it. Then again, there is a growing trend of installing 22s on G coupe/sedan in japan. You may be onto something.
I'm really considering doing this on a set of vossens. Owner says he's running 22x8.5 front +25 and 22x10.5 rear +35 and bc coilovers and SPC camber n toe arms all the way around....wish me luck! I'll probably chicken out, but #yolo lmao
ride will be crap with 22s. if you had the right suspension, it might be ok. i had a loaner for the last 4 days with the stock 17s and realized how much smoother the ride was compared to just my 19s.
