Killer Deal on Pennzoil Platinum

At K-mart they have it for $3.99/qt, and you get a $10 Shell gift card w/ a 5qt. purchase. $10 for a full synthetic oil change, time to stock up for awhile

5.2qts.
I get an extra qt and use it for my next 5 oil change top offs.
You only get 1 gift card per household, so if you've got a couple relatives that they can send the card to that's a good way to stock up, as long as you buy it in 5qts per receipt. When I see deals this good I buy enough for 4-5 oil changes. Be sure to save all your receipts for your Infiniti records if you change your oil yourself. I number each receipt, then I note "receipt # " in my Infiniti maintenance log book to reference each receipt and put all receipts in that black binder w/ the manuals in the trunk.

Good find, Newt.

I bought the 5 quart container for the wife's Honda last month, and that was $25 at Walmart. A few months ago, I swapped in Pennzoil Ultra in my G, and that was $28 for the 5+ quart. No matter the price, it's still vastly better than paying the dealership.

Walmart has the penzoil ultimate for ~$28 and change pretax, minus $10 gift card.

The manual recommends changing the oil every 3500 miles, do you still need to change it as often if you use synthetic oil? Every 3500 miles seems a bit excessive to me.

I do mine every 5K on full synthetic. You could always have an used oil assessment done to determine breakdown.

BTW: I was able to pick up a couple 5.2 qt of PP with a K&N filter for under $30 each and with a $10 rebate ($20 after rebate) from Advance Auto.

Well Kmart only had 2 qts when I went there and their supply center had ran out so I went to Walmart and they had the 5qt jugs of Platinum for $24.95 w/ a $5 off coupon attached to the jug, hopefully I can still use the gift card rebate for a similar deal to the Kmart one, if not still a nice buy
