Once again another tranny problem 09 AT

09 37 automatic, when I press on the gas, normal driving, there is a rattling/clicking noise, only happens once and a while, it lasts for about a second (3-6 clicks) any thoughts on what it is? It sounds similar to a light flywheel that fluttery mechanical sound, like I said it's random and not super loud but it just started a few days ago..Any experiences or thoughts? I had the TSB for the tranny a while ago I can't remember which one but it was in February '12..idk if there is a new one out yet but I'm going to take it in tomorrow however I'm not holding my breathe Infiniti can figure it out..thanks guys any help is appreciated

I am wondering, what about the symptoms makes you think it is related to the transmission?
I just don't see anything in your post (at the time I am typing this reply) that would indicate a transmission issue.
More likely just a rattle.
I mean, your post says "once again another tranny problem".. So is there some other symptom you left out?

Yes the tranny is doing the laggy shifting and weird engagement patters, I think I typed it out and went and ate something and came back to finish the post, disregard the title..but I'm taking it in right now, the sound is definitely a result of pressing on the gas, cannot be felt in the cabin but clearly audible. Chatter at 2k rpm+ gone then weird engagement in to 2nd gear

What dealership are you taking it to? I'm trying to find a good dealership in Orange County that is "customer service" oriented.

Okay took drive with the mechanic guy and luckily it made the noise but for only a split second so he couldn't figure it out...drove back and they tell me due to my modifications (coils, OEM brakes, and different mufflers was what the mentioned) my warranty is voided however they will check to make sure the TSB for the tranny is applied...

That doesnt sound right warranty voided? I understand they can say they wont work on the modified parts but warranty completely voided?

They can't void your warranty for like that. There is a law that prevents that, that states it will not be covered by the warranty ONLY if they can prove the part cause the problem. Like if you are lowered and you rip off your O2 sensors. Search on the forum for the laws. There are plenty of posts on it

^^this

take it to another dealer. the one you probably took it to just doesn't want to fix it. they MUST prove that the aftermarket parts you have installed on your car have caused said problem.

Go to another dealer. Since they they lied, you are probably not going to get anywhere with them by pointing out that fact.
