You are assuming you'll be presented with the option and then you'll have the time to react correctly. But then if you do, why choose to crash at all?

Anyway, I read a somewhat different article about it this morning.
The bit about MB at the end made my day. Talk about arrogance.

Also, this video better explains this new test and gives some more details about certain results. The bits about the Lincoln and the Lexus are a bit terrifying imo.

that lexus one is scary. However unless you hit a concrete wall I feel like the cars would fare better in real world scenarios. Another car will also have give to it, as would bricks or any other material that isn't a solid unmovable block.

Glad to know the G at least performed "acceptably".

Looking at it from inside the car i think we would be fine in this type of crash. The G handled it well.

WOW! did you see the Infiniti tire just leave the rim?
The lincoln test completely missed the Air bag.
VW still hit the dash board as well

I wonder how a hitting concrete wall stacks up compared to hitting an oncoming vehicle travelling at 50mph.

I just noticed that no side airbag deployed in neither lexus, the c-class or the CC. I would think they should deploy in that type of crash.
