Will a 2009 OEM front lip spoiler for a sedan with sports bumper fit on a 2012?

I was wondering if the front lip spoiler for a 2009 G37xS sedan (i.e. with sports bumper) fit on a 2012 G37xS sedan? I'm about to turn in my 2009 G37xS because the lease is ending and I'm about to lease a 2012. I put the front lip on the 2009 so I'm thinking about taking it off, painting it and putting it on the 2012 if it will fit. I did some searching online and some Infiniti parts/accessory websites list the OEM front lip spoiler as 2009+ and others list it as a different part for 2009 and 2010+. I'm guessing that it won't fit because the front end of the 2012 looks different than the 2009. Thanks in advance.

The 2010+ Sport Bumper is completely different. For the Non-Sport bumper, there is also a lip for that too.

Best bet would be to try to sell it here or when you turn the lease in, ask the dealer, to include the sport lip as well.

Thanks. I was thinking about taking it off and selling it and then using the money to offset the cost of a new one.

As far as asking the dealer to put a sport lip on the new one, it's probably not worth it. They'll charge me for the parts and labor and it can't be residualized in the lease. In other words I'll have to finance the full cost of the part plus installation in the lease. It's better for me to buy the discounted part and install it myself. Infiniti doesn't offer the front lip as an option from the factory anymore except in the limited edition and sports appearance edition. If it was available as a factory option then I'd ask the dealer to find a car with one installed so that it could be part of the MSRP in the lease and then I'd only have to pay for the depreciation on the extra cost which would be much less.

As Smoke mentioned, it won't fit, but I'm sure you'll find lots of buyers here (cough, cough...me). Post a FS thread.

Agreed.

I meant in a way to haggle them to get you the front lip for the one you put on this. Like a win win situation. Im sure Infiniti would accommodate something to have a repeating customer to lease another Infiniti. But yes, you can always depart and sell it. That is, they put it out of their pocket without having it financed. But rare case lol.

You already are aware that the 2010+ Sport and Premium edition is completely different, front end wise. Make sure to get the sport!

Good luck!
