It's customary for a CPA to have no friends & a poor sense of humor
On track, I always wonder what it takes to smoke in a small cabin, as the smell must linger to the next owner & really ruins the essence of a luxury car. Seems like lack of respect to me but I suppose the addiction is overwhelming.

That guy has been on my ignore list for months. Actually, he's the only one there. Not a lot of trolls in this forum.

Serenity now.

I was going to say what his issue was but glad its not only me.

Guys I don't smoke, I use it for change as weird as that may sound. When I had the ash tray, I was able to remove it from its place and easily dig through it for change. However without it, just throwing change in its grove is quite a pita to get out..I know its weird but trust me, weird things annoy me.

I also quit smoking 18 years ago, so don't need it.

And I also used the ashtray in my last two Maximas for change. The tray was wide and deep. But that's not what it's like in the G37. This ashtray is a little thing that you can't really get your fingers inside. The only way to get coins out is to remove the tray and upend it in your hands. So I don't actually use it.

In other words, it's a crappy coin-holder, Goonz. You're not missing anything.

This is just another of the little inconveniences of this car that I've come to accept. For all the claims of the G being a "luxury" car, it sure is wanting with simple design fails in the cabin. They could learn a few things from Lexus.

I use the key port when I don't feel like keeping it in a pocket.

that's probably better because it makes a bonging noise when you shut off your car. i always forget to take the keyfob with me if I leave it in the ashtray. then the car just beeps at me angrily when I try to lock the door with the handle button.

my '11 sedan also doesn't have an ashtray and the trying to get change out of that damn thing is my biggest beef with the car. As was stated before, put your iphone in it and leave the change in your pants.
