Grounding Kit Wires

So after reading this DIY I went looking for some copper wire but could not find any that were 8 gauge in LA.
https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-sed...-your-own.html

After looking over the thread again i found this link and decided to order the wire and about 3 days later received one in the mail, but the problem is the one i got is silver and the one in the picture of the ad is the color of copper...

Is this the wrong wire? Is it copper? Will it work?

Sorry for being so lost...

It can be silver wire, just needs to be oxygen free...if the silver can be

The link provided said the listing was removed. Got mine at the local radio shoppe for like 1.00 a foot.

You should be fine with what you bought.

Oxygen-free copper - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Handles heat better
Has better conductivity

And it was what the DIY on here said to use

I had it on my G35 6mt and I noticed zero gains. I hear that it does make a difference in an automatic. Ymmv.

Do a search. There's a HUGE thread about the benefits vs cons vs placebo effect on here.

Not trying to be a smartazz saying "duh do a search blah blah blah", just trying to say that the thread will probably answer all your questions about the above quote.
