2012 G37X ECU Reboot
2012 G37X ECU Reboot
Wife called. Car won't start at work. Key fob has no effect on car. Car is unlocked and won't electrically lock. Start switch shows ACC. Inserting the fob into the dash socket did nothing. Someone tried to jump-start the car, but the battery is fine. I told her to call for a tow and went to pick her up.
When I got there and it appeared that the ecu was crashed. I found a small wrench supplied by Infinity in the trunk that fit the nut on the negative battery lead clamp. Disconnected the lead for a few moments and reconnected. Car starts right up with fob in pocket.
Random failure or could the ECU have been crashed due to someone trying to steal the car?
