No way I would pay $900 just for wheel insurance unless you have some high-end aftermarkets. If your regular insurance covers theft I would be satisfied.
You can get wheels repaired for about $150 and can buy oem sedan wheels/tires here for about $900 or less so the wheel insurance is moot.

The dealer will give you the hard sell saying the wheels are $1200 to replace. So I can see why you might be afraid and want to take the insurance.
Easy answer though. Have you damaged any rims in the past? My answer was - no. So why would I start damaging rims now? Bad bet unless you are a derelict.

no. infiniti wheels are relatively durable. just don't make a habit of aiming for massive potholes, or bashing curbs. incidental raod damage would be covered by vehicle insurance anyways under a comprehensive coverage.
i know BMW owners often opt for wheel insurance, but that's because their wheels are very soft for some reason. recent C&D long-term reviews of 3 and 5 series have repeated this sentiment - each with numerous wheel replacements.

in a nutshell, everything the Finance guy tries to sell you after while signing your paper is a rip off. Their first offer for Lojack was $900. I laughed and said I got Lojack from Audi for $450. So they matched it. Then they offered me GAP insurance for $800. I laughed and declined. I called my insurance (Allstate) the next day and added GAP insurance for $5/mth. I basically only need it for 3 yrs while I pay off my car. Do the math.

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of on a new car. What a scam.
Thanks for all of the replies. The looks like a great site!
