Hey guys,

I just got a 2012 sedan from having a 2009 previously, and noticed the gas tank cap is different. Did they change it, and why? Not really a big issue, but was always so use to it clicking in place twice, now is just kinda turns and makes a quiet click. I kept messing around with it yesterday when I filled up and un-screwed it and tightened it a few times, and the third final time it stopped clicking?

 

I noticed that too but never thought much of it. Maybe it's more foolproof now.

 

I have a 2010 and i noticed the difference with the 2012 loaner I have. I also noticed that the display on the dash will warn you if your gas cap is loose which my 2010 doesn't do. Maybe that was the reason for the change in gas caps.
