My car is lowered on 20s and I get about 16.5 city and 21 hwy. When I drive on the highway I cruise in 6th gear (6MT) at 65 MPG which puts me close to 2k rpm. Maybe try cleaning out the fuel injectors maybe that would help

That sure doesn’t help. You’re getting 0 mpg during that time. Just warm until the RPMs drop toward 1k, about 30 seconds. This is when the computer knows the fuel mixture is good to go.

I didn't see this mentioned but, make sure you're running premium fuel (91 octane). These cars do poorly on regular unleaded (87 octane).

hmm, that certainly won't help. but i doubt it's the cause of 200mi range. unless you are waiting for ice/frost to clear off the windows, you should only need to idle the car for at most 30 seconds - or until the idle drops down to 1000-1200rpm. that's plenty of time to allow oil to circulate. just drive the car gently until everything (engine, tranny, gears, etc) warms up to operating temp, usually after a few minutes of constant driving.

try reducing your "warmup" idle time and see if that helps, but i suspect you have other fuel issues as well if you're only getting 200mi. running rich?

idling has alot to do with it. i usually let all my stuff turn on phone connect and then go. no more than 30 sec.

also with 70% city driving and a heavier foot youre lucky to get above 16. ive got the 5AT and i do about the same driving and im hovering around 16.5

Definitely try to avoid that unless you can't help it (in the winter, etc).

I would consider myself a conservative driver but for city driving I average no better than 15.5mpg, but for highway use it jumps to 25mpg. The best I ever did on a long trip was 27mpg.

That's weird you only get 200 miles per tank. I get 300 miles per tank, or approximately 18.8 MPG with all city driving.

Some interesting figures here, I get 15.2 mpg (90% NYC traffic) after an Uprev tune on the "economy map", a bit better than what I got when I was stock (14 mpg from what I remember).

That's crazy! I thought the DMV was voted the worst traffic in the nation? Where's all your fuel going?

I was averaging about 17mpg through 80% city. If you have a heavy foot, and you idle the car for 4 minutes every morning (prob about how long it takes to get the gauge to the middle) averaging 16mpg is about accurate.

Idling will eat mpg for breakfast. You never mentioned terrain or lengths of trips. If you idle for 2-4 minutes and then drive 15, it is easy to see the drop. I live in a hilly area and most of my trips are only 10-15 minutes from start to stop(including the few seconds to minute for the catalytic idle, most of the time).

I have found my local average is skewed towards the city rating on all my cars. When I have combined tanks that include trips to Houston, I can get right around highway rating.

I might have missed it, but how many gallons do you add at each fill? Running it to the fill light will produce 17-18 gallons of space. 0 miles on range is calibrated to abbot 18.
