They kept the old body on it, but from the pictures you can see how the exhaust is one piece like the coupes. The front bottom grille also has a cutout which can mean it is boosted since there will be an intercooler. The car is wider and the interior is a little different. Looks like it will have a new dash and shift ****. I'm sure they are just using the old panels so they keep the design a secret.

why does everyone have a concern that it has to be turbo in order to work? A volkswagon had a 1.8T for years and that is a slow pig....

I personally rather have a more reliable N/A motor.

If you read their post, it's more likely them testing the diesel engine.

Yup, turbo diesel. The rpm guage makes it obvious that it's a diesel.

I guess they are making a diesel for the Euro market, it would be a tough sell here in the state.

Me too would stay away from any turbos.

As much as I like N/A, turbo would be better on gas with the same hp and more tq!

I'm sure a turbo diesel would be for the european market.

Likely not, assuming it's a Mercedes diesel. It'll have quite a bit more torque but also quite a bit less horsepower than our G37s.

According to car & driver
2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK to Get ”Significant” Face Lift, Optional Diesel Four

For diesel enthusiasts, the GLK refresh brings good news in the form of a four-cylinder diesel. The engine we’ll see here displaces 2.1 liters; we’ll probably get the most powerful version offered in Europe, which has 204 hp and 369 lb-ft.

I know the diesel will be slower, and probably Euro only. But I was talking about the "G30t" they tradmarked. A 3.0 v6 turbo would be sweet.

No, the body will be changed. They kept the current gen body on that car to not attract attention
