Plasti Dip Emblems

If you ever have time to kill and bored outta your mind, plasti dip is pretty interesting to work with. I just wanted to post this to just to give you guys an idea on what I did. The one problem with this product is that there's no gloss finishes. enjoy

PlastiDip makes a 'glossifier' now that essentially acts as a clear coat but retains the same characteristics of standard PlastiDip (ie, it's removable). I haven't tried it but have seen demos on YouTube. It's a good way to add gloss to your existing projects.

Wow didn't know there was white plasti dip. Thing I dont like about plasti dip is that it tends to attract lint and dust :/

Agreed. I'm replacing my P-dip grill w/ a black vinyl wrap, micro fiber towels stick to the stuff like velcro and it's tough get bugs off the grill. Interesting look w/ the white, probably would work better on the tail of the car regarding keeping it clean.

I was able to get white at home hardware. Ya thats the bad part about Plasti dip is that it attracts dust and lint. But that glossifier might be able to help with that. On the tail of the car you don't really get anything that sticks on hard on the back so all that stuff that sticks on usually just washes off.

I would imagine vinyl wrapping the grille would be a very difficult task to do?

Why not break down and do it right and paint it? Is it a lease? If so that would explain it.

I've got some extra vinyl, and if I ever want to return it to stock (or a future buyer preferred the chrome) it can be reversed. IMO nothing "wrong" about going w/ vinyl, I've done several things w/ it and is pretty resilient to chips and blends well.

ohs ya the car is a lease. so I'd rather not take it off and go through the trouble of putting back chrome ones after if i do decide to return the vehicle.

How do you put back on the emblems. What do you use to hold it on.
