I also looked at the Z. I really liked it overall, but the poor visibility was a killer issue for me. In terms of visibility, the G sedan is better than the G coupe which is better than the Z.

Regardless, I could definitely see owning a Z if it wasn't my daily driver... I thought the G37S 6MT was a good compromise if I could own only one nice car, even though, like you said, it doesn't fully excel at either sport or luxury. I think owning a Lexus and a Z is a good combination if you can own two nice cars.

My personal preference is to own one nice sports sedan, and one beater.
