OBD II Code P0725
OBD II Code P0725
So I went to the dealership because my car started to shake momentarily, as if it were going to stall, when I came to an abrupt stop. The Tech said that the code p0725 was stored in my car's computer. He reprogrammed my tcm and reflashed my ecm and the problem is now gone. Im wondering why my check engine light didn't activate if the system had found a problem. Is that normal? On the bright side the my car no longer feels sluggish and the tranny shifts alot smoother. I also get less engine braking which I'm still not sure if I like or not. The engine braking gave the car a more sporty feel but i can always use the paddle shifters to downshift. Seems to do less gear hunting as well.
Any thoughts? I also did some searching on google about the code but only found information pertaining to the nissan altima (mainly 05 model).

From my understanding the light will come on if a fault is find twice within a certain cycle. I forget the cycle. You can have stored codes (ghost codes) because the ECU saw a problem, rechecked and then did not see the problem. As I read this I feel like I am not that clear but I think you get the idea lol.
