Whats the consensus on the 2nd year maintenance?
Is it necessary?
My car is 2 yrs old now and only has 18,000KM on it. Mostly city driving. We didn't do the year 1 maintenance. Did regular oil changes but that's it so far. The car was inspected a few months ago when we brought it in for repairs.
If i can do DYI the filter change, is there anything else I should bring it in for? Also, the car is for sale atm.

follow the owner's manual. schedule 1 is fine. with only 18k kms oil changes are all that you'd really expect. if you also have an overall inspection then even better.
i'd also suggest a tire rotation and cabin filter. inspect your air filter, it might use a change, but probably not. all these are easy DIY.

Air filter is absolutely DIY. Easiest change I have ever done on a car. Cabin a little more involved. But plenty of instructions on the internet, including on this site. Dealer wanted $80 for the air filter change LOL.

Anyone know the air filter model? Any place online to buy it for cheap?
Just to confirm, if I do not do the scheduled maintenance because my car only has 19k KM, it will NOT affect the warranty in any way?
thanks

There is a lot of unnecessary maintenance performed by some dealerships, to increase their profit margin, so just go by the owner's manual. They also try and convince everyone that they drive their cars under severe usage so the owner's have the maintenance done twice as often as necessary.
