Car and Driver Comparison

Its so stupid that car and driver and motor trend compared the 328i at $50k to the G25 at $34K. Talk about apples and oranges. When the price difference is this great the comparison is just laughable.

It's no different than the frequent comparisons of the G37 vs. 335.

I got that issue a couple days ago and was excited until I realized they used the G25. Their reason was that they wanted to use the smaller displacement engine to go along with the smaller displacement equipped german competitors. If that was the case they should have used the Volvo T5 instead of the T6.

Either way, they said it handled the best out of the bunch - so assuming that they used a G37 it would have been a much closer competition IMO.

I think it's good for the G25 to be compared to the 328i. The fact that it's in the same category/league for less money, says a lot for Infiniti.

Also, I just looked and in the USA the base 328i is $34,900 and the base G25 is $32,600.
In Canada they are $43,600 and $36,390, respectively.

Not just closer, it would win the comparo. But it's not going to happen given BMW has spent so much marketing/bribing money on them.

G37 vs 335i is a close match, but not with this group.

I don't know why you keep saying that considering MT had this headline back in 2007. How much you think Nissan paid?

The 328i as tested price was over $50K!!!!!!!

Consumer Reports just had an early (not a full test) of the 2012 BMW 328i and the tester did not like the new turbo 4. He also wrote that the steering and handling is not as good as the past models. This from a tester who likes BMWs

2011 smokey quartz g37 sedan/premium/nav/18" wheels/spoiler/ etc.

Take it easy buddy. I was not saying Nissan was super clean in doing business, nobody truly is. But apparently Nissan has not paid for G37 at the moment.

Except the motor trend comparo panned the g25.
