On some of the cars I have owned before (mostly Audi), you could always access the computer BUS to turn such features on or off. Neat features like rolling up windows and closing the sunroof if the car senses rain or just rolling up windows from the key fob were set to off by default. I've always wished and wondered if there was such a piece of software for Infiniti.

That is definitely not true, at least not on my ’08. At any rate, I prefer to lock my car myself. In my garage I leave it open so I can access it for one thing or another without having to unnecessarily find the fob that I don’t carry in my pajamas.

It bugs me that I can't open the trunk in my pajamas. I have to push a button or bring my key with me.

I know. First you have to grab your slippers for a cold garage floor. Then you actually have to open a door to access the trunk button. Then your spouse will shout out, “What the hell are you doing in the garage at this hour?”

Thanks guys for your responses. After going through all responses, I need to form the habit of locking.
