Yeah, some people do find the no sunroof as an asset. I'm kind of indifferent. I do like them, but don't mind even if I don't have one. Meh... No issues with clogged drains is definitely a plus.

Tried the USB to stream from my iPhone yesterday and while it did charge it and it showed "iPod connected" on the screen, I got no sound. Then did some quick reading online and noticed most people not being able to stream from phone. I'll dig a bit deeper into it in the coming days to see if I need to change some settings or what it could be. But from what I read, I think I might be SOL. Definitely not working like in my daughter's 2011 G37. Hers has navi, though, so that's a different ballgame. We'll see...

I'd rather not have one. I never open it, neither panel or glass. I don't like the glare, and find the sunroof is a distraction.

The panoramic sunroof on my wife's Subaru however... that's actually nice.

Go figure.

It’s a one owner 2011 G37x w/155K miles and seems to be in pretty good shape. Just a few minor dings here and there, but runs and drives awesome! Good maintenance history, too. Looked at it last week and made a pretty lowball offer. It took a few days for the guy to accept it and and finally last night he came back and accepted it. So, time to put your money where your mouth is, I guess.

It’s kind of bare bones car since there’s no sunroof, no memory seats and no navi. No navi of course means no streaming music, at least not easily, but oh well... I’ll probably drive for a while and then decide what I’m going to do with it. Guess I’ve really fallen in love with these things since buying the 07 in late 2019.
Nice congrats! What was the main motive behind the move?

I'm a sucker for good deals when I see them and to me <5K for that was a good deal. My daughter drives the 2011, so I didn't get rid of it. Now I just have two of them. Well..., daughter lives five hours away, but still. The car is in my name.

BTW, just noticed a typo in the post: the latest one is 2010, not 2011. Post fixed.

I see a 2013 with navigation/sport package in your near future

On a serious note, I am jealous of those that live in a warm climate and are able to pick up a nice older car with no rust.

I have yet to drive a G with manual, so that's actually kind of what I'm working my way towards. I'd imagine one these with a stick being pretty nifty little thing.

And I hear you on the rust thing. I lived first 30 years of my life in such area/country. Love doing some enthusiastic driving on snow, but otherwise I hate it. I actually learned to drive on ice on the lake in front of our summer house.

I couldn't imagine doing that. All that would be going through my mind is that the ice is going to break.

Haha! No issues when the ice is about 2 feet thick. There was a guy who plowed a track on ice and people were driving there. But that was back in the day when winters were proper and things were much simpler than today. My dad let me drive by myself first there on ice when I was about 7 or 8 years old and been hooked on driving ever since, ice or not.

lol well in that case that’s pretty awesome. Kind of similar for me. My dad would let me drive his truck out in the woods and stuff when we would go cut down trees and split the wood. He’s also let me steer while he would drive.
