thanks newt, I'm just not used to it, my wife's car has tinted windows but I've never had them before...I feel like it attracts too much attention from LEOs and I'm not crazy about any kind of reduced visibility in the summer this isn't a big deal but I'm thinking when it snows it may be annoying

Maybe it's just the pic but they look really dark. If those are concerns, you could have gone lighter. FWIW, I'd been driving a rental for 3+ weeks and definitely missed my tinted windows. Sun felt so hot on me through the glass.

That looks like 5%... crazy dark. I have my 35% and that's the lowest I would go

Ditto what everyone else is saying. That looks like 5-15%..ish. You could have gone with 80% ceramic - almost completely clear and blocks out the UV. That's what people usually do for the windshield.
In short - you did it to yourself. Looks good though. :P

Yes this is true, I had it done on a really sunny day and tried to pick something based on the tint guys recommendations and from what he was able to show me on other cars he was working on in the shops parking lot...even the 20% looked very light on that day for some reason almost completely see through...I hadn't done it before so I didn't have much of a frame of reference on how it would be in different lighting...I just knew my wife's was something like 20% and it seemed "average"...funny you mentioned the rental, the tint guy showed me his own rental which he had tinted at 5% all round, and even that didn't look that dark.

I hadn't considered 35%, I think its considered really light around here, at least thats what the tinting guy seemed to imply, I think even my wife's is 20% all around

lol, thanks, very true, Its 5% percent on the rear window and rear sides, 20% on the front windows, all ceramic...Its not so much just the UV but the the fact that the sun is blinding on my commute home, due east an hour before sunset, mostly for my son who has to face it the whole time, but even in my rearview mirror with the tint during that time its still quite bright...

I guess we'll see if it gets too annoying or if I decide to adapt to it...

I think it also looks extra dark in that picture cause the clouds were coming in and the rain was about to start

Very clean, looking factory fresh. Noticed the front plate, are you in TX?

And to add to your brand new look, here was mine the day I bought it. I didnt know it was there until the papers were signed and the guy told me to turn around. Had it detailed and rolled into the showroom.

I Recently picked up a 2010 G37x a few weeks ago. Since then I had the headlight housing painted and tinted windows 20 percent with 5 percent on the sunroof.
