Now your talking my language, I owned a 95' GS-T with a 1st gen 6 bolt block with a 2nd gen full head job. I wont go into details but that motor was fully blueprinted and built from the bottom up, I was sponsored by Sports Compact Racing back then and had about 13k in the motor alone.....good times...man do I miss the feeling of 30psi
Very nice, DFS. We would have a lot to talk about. I owned my 1st Gen 1990 GSX from 1990 to 1999. I know what you mean... I do miss 550+ HP and AWD! I never got around to fully building my 4G63, but the upper half was built-up with upgraded head gasket, ARP head-bolts and HKS Cams. I was running 25+ psi with a 20G turbo, custom FMIC, HKS VPC, ACT 2600 clutch, custom rear axles, etc, etc.... With proper launch I could run 11 second 1/4 miles and 1.5 60' times... on street tires. I was buddies with Dave Bucher and attended the first 5 Diamond Star Shootouts up in Norwalk, OH. My car was featured in Turbo Magazine and even got a cover pic back in 1997 featuring my engagement to my wife, which happened on the race track while my wife was racing the car during time trials. LOL Really miss those days!
Funny enough I actually just found out that the buddy I sold that car to back in 1999 is finally selling it. He said it's a full trailer queen now and running low 10's!!!
Pulled the trigger on the Continental Extreme Contact Sport tires in 295/30/20 and 255/35/20. Had 285/255 before. It's a tight fit but I'm loving the look and feel. More grip with the larger width and these tires kick ***. Soft over bumps but stiff while cornering.
You and Newt both now with the Conti's. Hmmm. I'm buying two new rears in July, and have been seriously thinking of these tires over the PSS (or the new PS4). Can save hundreds of $$$ if I switch, just on two tires.

As for saving... 275/35-19 would be $243 vs. $317 each. So x2, that's $148. Also something pretty convincing.
I'll continue giving my opinion of them, but so far they are nothing short of amazing. Although I am coming from the DWS's which are a solid tire, but not a high performance tire by any means.
Great to hear the initial review and should really start performing great when fully broken in.
FWIW I have the "old" Conti DW and they've been awesome thus far so I can only imagine what Furlow is experiencing.
BTW Rochester, how has the wear been on your front summer tires? Blnewt mentioned in the fat tire thread that you only have the rear SPC kit, same as me, and your front camber is also -2 (or more). You getting good life out of them at that setup?
Fellow forum member, Max (kickindaglass) wrapped my chrome trim for me today on the G. I'm loving it so far. Also gave her a well-needed wash after driving from NC to DC and then to NJ.

After approx 12k of use, the rears are on borrowed time, with significant inner edge camber wear, hence the replacement plan for mid-summer. Fronts still have a comfortable amount of tread, and will easily take me into next summer. However, there's inner edge camber wear here too. No aftermarket components on the fronts, but they were at -1.1* and -1.7* at last alignment.

My alignment guy set me up with similar specs, I have the SPL kit front and rear. Appreciate the compliments! Running Continental ExtremeContact Sports as well.
