I am not completely sold on the effectiveness of aftermarket intake systems either.
Probably a reflash would do the most to be honest.

There really aren't any mods for this car which give you a lot of power by themselves.
Really the best bang for buck mod is suspension and wheels. Start off with some upgraded sways, better tires and wheels.
Intake systems don't really do much of anything, besides add some noise.
Getting a reflash/tune on a stock car won't do much of anything.
