The reason why I kept with stock is the current problems other members are experiencing with aftermarket HID bulbs...flickering and not powering on...etc.

The stock HID are better at illuminating the road, while the 6000k's will "look" nicer.
Coming head on, the stocks look bright white that matches the rest of the lights.

I might consider swapping to the OSRAM XENARC 66240 CBI D2S BULBS, which are 5000k...but $185.00 is way too rich for me to spend on bulbs!

Improved throttle response and lower end torque...much better pull off the line.
Throatier sound than stock when opened...

Now waiting for the AFE drop in filters!

Thank kdawg.

I might just try a set of 5000k and see if they work...it's just a pain to keep swapping them out (have to remove wheel to get to them).

My FX was so simple, just reach down behind the headlight from the engine bay!

I see you have them on the rear too. Still have the drum type parking brake or did you have to convert it?

I started this thread to see what the best of the sedan world had to offer and boy does it deliver. I'm sure I mentioned it somewhere along the way but we were able to get a fantastic deal assuming a leased '09 G37 6MT from a guy who's lease still had almost a year on it but wanted to get out of it early to jump into an M3 sedan before they went the way of the dodo. Well the lease is about to end on my wife's G sedan. She has enjoyed it greatly except for the fact that it's a 6MT. We're very likely going to buy it and then trade it in when the 2014 comes out next summer.

She wants Malbec Black with wood trim (WTF?) and AT. I know, I know, but she's the one driving it. Let's see what the all new model has to offer. Thanks to everyone posting their G sedans, I've gained a whole new appreciation for them.
